Western art and media, from Hollywood to Broadway to most art schools, have been overtaken by an ideology that misunderstands the very nature of art. The problem is deeper than political agendas inserted into stories: it is the loss of art’s true purpose.

Art is not mere self-expression or raw emotion. It is a redemptive representation of truth. When Delacroix painted a messy bed instead of placing a real one in a gallery, he revealed unexpected beauty hidden within chaos. This is the power of art; it unveils truth and beauty where we might never have seen it.

By contrast, extreme liberalism often denies reality itself, whether in matters of human nature or the created order. When stories are built on ideology instead of truth, they collapse, for art divorced from reality cannot be believable.

The Aeon Guild Foundation exists to restore art to its true mission. We support and sustain independent guilds of artists in every medium; from painting to film, from dance to video games; who embrace truth over ideology, beauty over propaganda, craft over industry. These guilds, modeled on the medieval system of master and apprentice, are owned and operated by the artists themselves, ensuring that art is made for its own sake and for the glory of God, not the whims of corporations or the dictates of cultural fashion.
